The HDFC School first welcomed students from Osaka Meisei Gakuen, Meisei Junior and Senior High School in 2023, marking the beginning of a cultural and educational exchange that will continue into 2024. Building on this successful partnership, The HDFC School recently embarked on its first educational tour to Japan, offering its students an opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and strengthen ties with their peers overseas.
During the visit, students participated in a range of activities, both at Osaka Meisei High School and across the vibrant city of Osaka. At the school, Indian students were introduced to the elegance and discipline of Japanese martial arts, such as Kendo and Kyudo (Japanese archery), gaining a deeper appreciation for the traditions and values embedded in Japanese culture.
Students of Meisei Junior and Senior High School students warmly introduced their Indian peers to the sights of Osaka, their school, and daily life in Japan. Though initially nervous, both groups of students gradually grew more comfortable, building friendships and broadening their perspectives as they exchanged ideas and embraced new cultural experiences. By learning from one another’s strengths and traditions, students have fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other’s cultures.
