Global Collaborative Learning Program between Doshisha International Junior/Senior High School and Bluebells School International

We successrully conducted a Global Collaborative Learning Program between Doshisha International Junior/Senior High School and Bluebells School International.

Doshisha International Junior/Senior High School is one of the most famous schools in Japan with their international education. Their mission is “To nurture students to develop their full potential in an environment of freedom.”

The students who study Japanese in Bluebells School participated in the program. Through the online interaction and the presentations, they learned different culture and lifestyle each other. In addition to the online live interaction, the participants also exchanged various videos to introduce their school and culture.  Watching those videos helped them to understand each country more deeply.

Over 90% of the participants answered that they enjoyed the program. Indian students commented that it was a very interesting program because they were able to learn not only traditional Japanese culture, but also various aspects of Japan, such as music and anime that are popular among students of the same generation.

Japanese students also learned a lot about India even though they didn’t know much about the country before the program. They enjoyed the interaction with the students in a different country.

We appreciate the school and teachers to make the program happen. We also appreciate the students who actively participated in the program from both countries.

We will keep working to provide such opportunities to more students in both India and Japan
